Kurt Martin studied Industrial Engineering - Technical Chemistry in Linz, Austria and graduated as M.B.A. at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France in 1989.

During his professional career he gained experience in pharmaceutical research and worked for McKinsey & Company as consultant on projects in innovation and technology management.

Subsequently he was head of the software sales department for Central Europe at AspenTechnology, Inc., a very successful MIT spin-off. In the early 90s he founded his first company, the IGB Franchise GmbH, which he sold in 1999 successfully.

Since then Kurt Martin supports entrepreneurs and founders in building and financing their companies. Thereby he is engaged as coach, consultant and/or interim manager.

Scientific Expertise of the Team

The other members of the lead team of hepacult are experienced and reputable scientists with a sound background in medical, chemical and biotechnological disciplines.

Their comprehensive competencies encompass state of the art in vitro research, the standardization and evaluation of the liver and other organs as human in vitro models, the work with primary human cells and isolation/preservation techniques.
